The magnet structure has the characteristics of magnetic shielding and sinusoidal air gap magnetic flux density distribution, and is particularly suitable for high-speed permanent magnet brushless DC motors with a hollow cup stator. When designing a permanent magnet brushless DC motor, its electromagnetic design can follow the following principles:
1) Compared with the conventional magnet structure motor with radial magnetization and parallel magnetization, the former has a small air gap magnetic flux and a large rotor yoke magnetic flux. Therefore, for the motor with 6 poles and above For conventional magnet structure motors, parallel magnetization should be used.

2) The sine of the air gap flux density of the HALBACH magnet structure motor is much better than that of the conventional magnet structure motor. The more magnets per pole, the better the sine distribution of the air gap flux density.
3) The magnetic flux density of the rotor yoke of the HALBACH magnet structure motor is very small, which is much lower than that of the conventional magnet structure motor. Therefore, the HALBACH magnet structure motor can save the magnetic rotor core; but for the conventional magnet structure motor, if the rotor yoke is not magnetic, Then the air gap flux density of the motor will be significantly reduced. Therefore, if the rotor does not have a conductive core, the motor should adopt the HALBACH magnet structure to ensure the air gap flux density of the motor, thereby ensuring the power density and torque density of the motor.
4) Regarding the stator-less conductor core motor, regardless of the HALBACH magnet structure or the conventional magnet structure, the permanent magnetic field of the motor has a certain radiation range. Therefore, in order to prevent electromagnetic interference, the total effective air gap of the motor should be greater than 6 times the permanent magnet structure. The thickness of the magnet. The magnetic flux density outside this range will be very small and will not produce electromagnetic interference and iron loss.

5) When the thickness of the permanent magnet is small, the air gap magnetic flux density provided by the HALBACH magnet structure is lower than that of the conventional magnet structure; and when the thickness of the permanent magnet increases to a certain value, the air gap magnetic flux density provided by the HALBACH magnet structure is higher than Conventional magnet structure motor. Therefore, the HALBACH magnet structure should be adopted for the statorless iron core motor, and the thickness of the magnet should be increased as much as possible to increase the air gap flux density, so as to ensure that the motor has a considerable power density and torque density.
